my college life part 1.....

                                     Chapter-1   "First Day of My College Life"

After long discussions with my parents, rahul and his parents we finally decided to select mechanical in oriental...(me n rahul got identical marks) but what we did was not what we decided.....ther was sudden change of mind....n plans n we took elecronics nd communication in sirt(sagar institute of research and technology) so there we were....a part of sirt on 27th aug 2005....

after my counselling what followed was a bit of shopping for my college...till our college started some other school friends of mine also became a part of the prestigious sagar family as they say..!!

so it ws untill 12th september 2005 when i first went to colllege....well dressed...neat n tidy..hair cut ,no jeans ,proper uniform...me and rahul we went on his two wheeler...parked it at his realtive's house...

Our first day started with a sppech from our chairman Mr.Sanjeev Agarwal...i still remember when one of the faculty members introduced him and he just got up and was heading towards the podium..he actully adjusted his hair...as if going for a shoot...and that called for a loud noise from the newly admitted students....he briefed us about the college...what we are supposed to do what we arnt allowed  to do...few rules..introduced to us with his staff....and then sent us for trip to college...

As predicted there wasnt much of studies but one thing i surely realized that this decision of mine of selecting sagar might not be fruitfull as there was no elctricity for the entire day(just a hint of what was coming towards me)..so the entire day went in introductions and all...i was looking forwad for some girls (typical of a guy) i m sorry...... to say did not find any....!!

so evrything went as i have thought of..untill it was time to go back...while returning we were stopped by one of our faculty which we latter learnt was our HOD...she inquired about us...the conversation lasted for 10 min...then while returning we were supposed to take our vehicle and we could see few meters away a bunch of bikers coming our way....yeah they were our seniors...the very thought of ragging made me numb.......n scared..they encircled us(me and rahul) and then it all begun...

luckily though there wasnt any physical harm nor was mental..just a few rules which we were suppsed to follow...like the third button rule,greeting ur seniors,the 90 degree....etc etc....the moment they left us we were relieved,we rushed to our vehicle took it nad off we went....the whole way we were cursing that faculty had she not stop us we might not have been ragged....

coming few days our college was off...due to a strike from our seniors for some rule of 4+1.....

so next 7 days it was all home for me no college somthing that became my habbit fo next few years...and this strike and the very fact the college was off after the first day....set the tone for me in the upcoming years......!!
